Wahl Animal is guided by our mission to keep animals healthy, happy, and beautiful. To achieve a mission like ours, we believe it’s crucial to align ourselves with other organizations that share these same values and beliefs. As the saying goes, if you want to go far, go together! That’s exactly what we intend to do.

Wahl Animal is pleased to announce our partnership with the Best Friends Animal Society where we have committed to donating $50,000 and another $1,000 in grooming products for use at the sanctuary to help and care for animals of all kinds! In addition to these contributions, our team also dedicated the time to travel to the sanctuary in Kanab, Utah. During our visit, the Wahl Animal team worked on various projects to help improve the quality of life for sheltered animals.

Day 1

The first day of our trip included a comprehensive animal sanctuary tour. The sanctuary boasts 3,700 acres of breathtaking views of Utah’s red rocks and canyons. On any given day, up to 1,600 animals call Best Friends Animal Sanctuary a home-between-homes. Dogs, cats, bunnies, birds, horses, pigs, and other barnyard animals come to the sanctuary from all over the country. Each animal arrives seeking a haven where they can find refuge, love, and acceptance. Our team had the opportunity to familiarize ourselves with the animals who call the sanctuary home and learned more about the care they require. After breaking for lunch, we geared up for a volunteer project at Dog World within the sanctuary. Not only did we wash and clean the dog kennels, but we also walked, played, and provided special love and attention to each of the dogs currently living in Dog World. Our day completed with a dinner where we met with all of the amazing people behind the scenes who keep the Best Friends Animal Society running smoothly and learned more about how we can support this spectacular organization’s cause.

Day 2

For our last day at the animal sanctuary, we teamed up with Wahl Animal Elite Educator and Certified Master Groomer Lisa Leady, and Wahl Animal Ambassador and Certified Master Feline Groomer Whitney Bullock, to provide grooming makeovers for dogs and cats living at the animal sanctuary. In addition to this care, the professional groomers also educated onsite staff on proper grooming techniques and gave tips to make the grooming process smoother for cautious or skittish pets and keep their coat care in tip-top shape. To complete our trip, the Wahl Animal team gifted the sanctuary over $1,000 worth of grooming supplies including clippers, trimmers, blades, maintenance accessories, shampoos, brushes, and equine tools.

The Best Friends Animal Society is an American, nonprofit welfare organization. Best Friends Animal Society does outreach nationwide with shelters, rescue groups and members to promote pet adoption, no-kill animal rescue, and spay-and-neuter practices. What’s more, is the organization’s animal sanctuary has forever changed the future for pets in shelters.
