Zero-gapping your trimmer means clean hits and cleaner lines. Wahl Educator Nieves Almaraz demonstrates how to zero gap your trimmer blades using the Wahl pro-set tool.

  1. Remove the screws on the back of the blade. Place your blade into the pro-set tool.
  2. Place your blade onto the pro-set tool, lining up with the numbers “1” and “2” on the pro-set tool.
  3. Loosen the screws on the inside of the blade.
  4. Push the moving blade closer to the still blade while it sits in the pro-set tool.
  5. Once it’s pushed up, tighten screen “1” then screw “2” and remove it from the pro-set tool.
  6. Place the t-blade back onto your Wahl trimmer and tighten the screws.
  7. Test the trimmer before using it on a client to ensure the moving blade is not overlapping.
